Well I’ve given up completely on my edge 1000 for navigation now (couple of previous threads about the trouble I was having) after yesterday’s ride. Tried navigating one of my previous rides, all started well with a turn right cue coming on the screen but then it stayed there and I couldn’t get rid of it. This was followed by a bleep every ten seconds and then the screen froze.
So I used my old iPhone and Komoot which was great but are there other devices that show os mapping like Garmin do?

Not read your previous threads but have the issues started since a firmware update?

On one of my older Garmins had a similar issue a few weeks after an update

I reinstalled an older firmware and it fixed the issue

Contact Garmin, they're generally very good CS wise.

Just send it back. All the Garmin's I've used over the years have been fine. If your having problems its unusual and Garmin should/could just fix it.

I’ve only been using it for navigation for the past few months and it’s never worked right, my old Geko was ace, never missed a beat. I’ve not done any firmware updates on it.
I emailed Garmin a couple of weeks ago but they’ve not got back to me, I will try them again as it would be nice not to have to buy another.

There's a chat function on the website, office hours, best way to contact them.

if you have a decent phone use Viewranger (£25 pa subscription), miles better response time than Garmin and a much larger screen to look at. On a ride yesterday two Garmin devices missed the tuning we should have been taking until we were 50m down hill of where we should have gone! This happened 4 times and every time we were downhill of the turning, think the devices were just taking the p*ss!
