I had some great Specialized very thin tights that looked as if they'd be too thin to do anything but were actually great for autumn evenings.  However I've somehow managed to lose them.

So what else is thin and cheap?  Thin as in basically the same stuff that shorts are made from.

I like double layer over my balls though, so was thinking tights over shorts.  But legwarmers are cheap.

I've had good luck with a pair of Tenn tights I found on eBay. I was thinking of getting a pair of these next.

Legwarmers under bib shorts, with optional baggies? Would be my road go-to for this time of year.

If you're wearing over shorts with a pad, have a look at running tights.

Craft do some quite thin ones that are great (for running) and I would imagine cross over quite well for what you need.

I picked some up from start fitness for about £15 in one of their sales.

I've got some Funkier ones. I've worn them through the summer for nettle protection.

Interesting, I'd be using knee warmers or thin roubaix 3/4s.
