Any recommendations for lights for my surly? I commute daily come rain or shine and at all times of day and night. Whilst my current setup ensures I'm seen at night, It doesn't allow me to cycle some of my local paths at any speed, especially the pot holed ones!

Can't afford a expensive set, but maybe something I can pair with a decent headtorch to try my hand at some night time off roading.

Cheers

I picked up one of these on the Classifieds a while back and am very happy with it.

I don't know what you class as not much but smudge from this forum has mtbbatteries and he is selling an XM-L light (the newest type of LED) for £67

http://www.mtbbatteries.co.uk/4.html

They have been quite popular and he has sold out of his first batch but the second batch is due in very soon, this light paired with a head torch should see you well for offroading and could be used on the lower setting for commuting to extend the battery life.

Thanks chaps...will check them out. £67 for the XM-L seems reasonable enough and should do the job.

Cheers
