I've just recently upgraded the compression damping in my 2011 Sektors with the Blackbox MoCo unit from a set of Revs and although I'm liking the increased control over the low speed compression and gate threshold they're feeling as though the high speed circuit might be a bit over dampened for my weight of around 70KG.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm running around 70psi in the air spring and have the Dual Flow rebound damper fitted also. Basically trying to decide whether it's worth getting the high speed circuit re-shimmed or sell it and get the 2013 RLT DNA damper instead.
Cheers!
Cheeky lunchtime bump(sorry)...anyone?
I weigh a little less than you, tbh I've always felt the stock tune on mine was ever so slightly low on compression damping- not badly though, sorted it at a big service with a marginally thicker oil
Thanks Northwind, hmm maybe I'm mis-interpreting what I'm feeling then. I'll give it a few more rides.
I also stuck a few more ml of oil in the damper side when fitting it as there seems to be 3ml difference between required amounts on the Revs vs Sektors and figured with them having all Rev damping now it should be the Rev amount.
I stumbled upon a thread on MTBR suggesting that the BB damper may not be suited to lighter riders and it got me thinking down that route.
