I have a 661 Sub Gear. It weighs very little and is not restrictive, but it is boiling hot to wear.

I run 661 Sub Gear too. It's no hotter than any other compression layer, really.

+1 for the 661 subgear. i use the short sleeve one on all of my rides from downhill to long trail rides and it's no hotter than a normal base layer. only provides worthwhile protection on the shoulders though. the foam chest pads don't really do anything so took them off to make it even cooler
