I've recently fitted some 120mm solo air rebas onto my hardtail and I'm really struggling to get a useable setup. With the minimum listed pressure (70psi) I get about 10% sag (I'm 65kg). To get 20% I need to run about 30psi, at which pressure the rebound is really slow on the fastest setting (and they feel terrible) and I'm getting a beating in the rough stuff presumably as they pack down. Am I missing something obvious? Can they be tuned in some way to suit a lighter rider?
I ignore the sag and just work the pressure to ensure the correct amount of travel
Have you tried riding the bike with different psi?
I'm a little heavier but run my solo air 100mm Reba's at 90 psi (the lowest for my weight range) and that is spot on for the xc stuff my 29er does.
For more trail stuff I have dual air version on my 26er fs that are 120mm and I run them at 80psi.
Just take a shock pump out with you and see what works for your riding style / terrain.
