Apologies if this has been done 10 times already.
Currently have a Cateye Volt 1200 which I rate quite highly. After several years of use though the USB port is failing and charging has become unreliable.
Happy to go with the current equivalent (Volt 1300, 1700...) but wondering if I'm missing out on any gems?
Something that's easily transferable between bikes would be ideal, so a good solid yet easy to use mount. It's the one thing I'd change about the Cateye (even though it's not exactly difficult). That and the weight distribution so it's less likely to slip out of position. Really like the idea of having a rubber fitting, like is so common with Garmin/Wahoo mounts.
Pulse mode would be good.
Decent battery life for long rides. 7+ hours continuous.
Mode for not blinding drivers, yet illuminates surroundings like daylight on the MTB.
Preferably not mega money.
Moon on stick, etc.
Ravemen PR1600 could do both, battery life of 7hrs will always be tricky / costly, the PR1600 claims 7hrs at 200l on the low road setting.
