The purchase of... not looking for recommendations on what to buy, just how you went about it.
Found the US ebay store, which weirdly won't display any items if I use ebay.co.uk, but will on .com.

The an additional $10 difference in price (a couple of quid I know) direct over the ebay total, is there any reason not to use their ebay store?
Noticed a poster mentioning he got away without any customs charges, which was interesting but is that an exception, rather than a rule?

I have just purchased a pair of 38mm wide from their eBay store. About two months ago I bought a 27/30mm combo. Very happy with them. Be aware that it's Chinese new year, so I'm not expecting delivery of the 38mm till mid March.

As a buyer, I don't think there are any downsides. You'll be protected by ebay/paypal.
As a seller, there are quiet a few drawbacks.

I'd agree. Ordered both ways tbh tho and lb have been pretty good.

Only problem is the holiday wind down started this week (according to Carolina) so production not really a goer until march.

according to Carolina

You should have dealt with Kartrin 😉

For those who are interested I bought some of this

http://shop-gwk.de/product_info.php?info=p341_tesa--strapping--4289---length--66-m---width--30-mm---color--gelb.html

Which is the commercial/industrial name for stans tape. May also be available from UK suppliers search for tesa 4289

Aye I clashed with Chinese New Year last year too, tried not to this year and when I googled I thought CNY was on the 28th and not the 2 weeks before as well. Ah well, didn't really put me off though. I've had 8 rims from them to date.

For Tape I went with this... 66m for about £10......
