so, here's the idea.
Leave work friday afternoon. Fly to somewhere mountainous (alps probably).
Hire a big bouncy bike and armour for a couple of days, possibly with a local guide/instructor, get a lift pass, learn how to ride downhill fast.
Fly home sunday night/monday morning, back to the real world.
Where and with who?
will any bike lifts be open yet in the Alps? 😕
switchbacks Dh in Malaga?
apparently you can be on the chairlift about an hour after you land...
should have said not right now, later in the year. do the bike guide companies do weekends?
Most do long weekends, makes more sense if you add a friday and/or monday on.
Three or four mates - all can drive; a car with easy carriage for 3/4 bikes; a big hill with a few decent trails and a road with reasonable access to the top and bottom.
Any of the UK uplifts and hire Jedi/other coach for the day?
+1 for Switchbacks, the DH is in Malaga, the XC is a few hours transfer. The XC is technical, the DH just looks mental!
