Hi,
Was looking at 1 of the Chilli Tech lights late last year (3300 lumen model) which normally can be got for about £120, but see that CRC/Wiggle have got their Lifleline Pavo 3500 down at £109. Anyone have real world experience with either? Both seem a bit niche in terms of brand and support, seen some bits about Pavo mounts failing and trying to get spares being a problem. The Chilli guy is great, if you can get hold of him.... But previous stuff I've got from him has been fine.
Tempted to keep at the Chilli option if I can get a response from the guy, unless others can praise the Lifeline brand enough?
Thanks
I think the Pavo 2500 is much better value. You only really lose the motion mode of the 3500 which seems a gimmick to me - it is just bright or very dim when you stop.

Be aware (like a lot of lights) the Lifeline lights are known for throttling the beam output quite heavily after so many minutes - not just thermal throttling, just output throttling to achieve longer run times.
The 3500 lumen version isn't magically finding 1000 lumens for the same run time as the 2500.
Other thought is I can't see spare mounts for the Chilli but in theory you can get spare mounts for additional bikes for the Lifeline (though they always seem out of stock).
EDIT - another thought - the Chilli light is alledgeldy IP66 rated. The Lifeline is not and is just claimed to be water resitant.
Consider also a Magicshine RN3000 which is currently £99+post on magicshine UK. really nice units, garmin mount, and works as a USB powerbank as well.
For that sort of budget I’d be tempted to get the newest mtb batteries lumenator 20. Decent UK support, spares available including batteries.

I have a lower power Chilli tech light
and a MTB batteries light. It's been great, I got the bigger battery pack

Also have a MTB batteries lumen 800

Very good also
Had a Pavo 2000 for the last 4 years, been great. This winter though it stopped charging properly so I bought another (spare mount etc). £15-20 pa not bad, it gets proper use (I have a Joystick on lid).
I paid £80 for the replacement as the 2500 wasn't available, would have jumped at that tbh.
I ride with some others with SixPacks and if they are close behind me I get shadows etc, so bare that in mind.
