I once left a CSI-style imprint of two people on a rug like that.

I have come to the conclusion that the majority of fatbike owners have the colour coordination skills of a clown with a colour vision disorder. Just because riding a fat bike makes you feel like you're 6 doesn't mean you need to make it look like an 80's abortion of clashing filth. All that's missing is some spokey dokeys, a playing card in spokes and one of those yellow loud halers that used to make police siren noises and machinegun sounds.

So, no fence / arsecrack interface ambiguities there then ..

tis indeed a rohloff....

after years of punting it round bikes i think ive finally found a bike it suits.

but then i was always sticking it on ultra light XC builds and wondering why it killed the spirit of the bike.,... id stick an SS rear wheel in and the bike was transformed.... rohloff never went back on.

the fatty likes the rohloff though.

I've a dinner plate sized sprocket, clutch mech combo to try at some point but the flatlands of Suffolk don't really demand such a range 😳

Off to order a Bud now .....

@Trail_rat Nice! I love single speed, can't run anything but! I think it's the way the drivetrain feels, super tight and incredibly efficient, nothing comes close to that true SS feel! Even my touring bike (ECR) is single speed (: always considered getting in IGH but damn, I'm broke now! Just built up a semi fat 3" Surly 1x1 with Candy Apple red Marge Lite rims, Maverick SC32s and more wingbars! and I don't know how on earth you've got nates on SC32s, on mine, the end to end gap is just under 4" and that's end to end, no way is nate going to be happy in there! I'm running Rolling Darryls, that may be why?

@tazzymtb awww is that almost a compliment? 😀 I love how awesome the rasta theme looks but then again I'm not a 40 yo man 😀

Hmmm Im amused by the angst against Fart Bikes In my view any bike that lets you do more is worthy of being a Mountain Bike. These bikes Really can do it all.

I personally don't like 29 ers they ride orrible on the trails I normally ride but each to their own. Oh wait most Fart bikes are 29 by default.

I think that most who run Fat bikes don't take themselves too seriously and them that are vocally angst agin them Take themselves waaaaaaaay toooo seriously. Its all about fun fun fun.

Looks nice enough but I would either go super cheap or wait for the full carbon options that are supposed to be on the way for not much more money.

Saw the Specialized Fatboy Pro at a bike expo.Very nice, but £3500 😯 Not even carbon frame. FFS it's essentially the same as the Single Scoop.Even the base model without Blutos costs more 🙁

They're on one og carbon bars. Took them off my 29er.

They're great, very comfy and wider, lighter than Mary bars.

Same as you JoeG didn't like the Orange logos so the use of a vinyl cutter and a set of black logos produced 1mm bigger than originals.

Picked this up from a forum member last weekend;

[img] [/img]

Most of the running gear has been upgraded from the stock On-One stuff and all I have left to do is start cutting holes in the rims!

Personally I love the orange but I think that puts me in a minority, Lol.

Currently scheduled for June 2015 I believe.

Just checked - Smalls in April, Medium/Large in June (that's the top-end model). May (Sml) and June (Med/Lge) for the cheapest one

Thanks Scotroutes. Not going to be able to put off this itch 'till then. Will have a look at the Specialized Fatboy early in the new year (hopefully), although LBS (Ghyllside Cycles) have a very nice new Charge Cooker Maxi in black for £850 which seems very good VFM.

rear is a standard 29er rear mudhugger hairdyered to fit, front is a prototype we are testing atm works really well, compare with & without here
[img] [/img]
needs a forward extension to stop "fling back" and we have a mod to try to solve that. it's rock steady off road too

Mostly the £, I got a 20% off code. The fatty does ride trails well though with non of the floppy steering the Kona & Genesis had. Whether that means it'll be compromised in snow remains to be seen
