Is it a long reach to change the shock setting,can you use any handlebar or does it need to be a Giant one?

I almost bought one two years ago - black,red, white colours. It was Trance versus Anthem. I thought it was great and loved riding it on trails and longer XC rides - but Giant thought otherwise
so bought camber evo instead
Any 31.8 handlebars will fit it.
However depending on the year it may require a special diameter stem to accomodate the Giant overdrive steerer tube.
I have a 27.5 trance and reaching down for the lever on the shock is no problem at all.
