Was at Les arcs this year - not a bad place but im wondering how good Les Deux Alpes is????
ooooooo yes... deux alpes rules.
I went to both last year.... to ski. The trail map for L2A looked pretty good, and you can pretty much ride from the glacier back down to town, probably a descent of close to 1900m.
Les2Alpes is good. Been skiing there twice.
You can also link up to La Grave if you're into backcountry / serious off-piste skiing.
went there a couple of years back and it was ok, not that much variety though, all pretty open. there seemed to be very little tail maintinance, breaking bumps everywhere!
I would personally not go back, there are other far better places with loads more (portes du soleil etc)
Went loads in the nineties.
High up, so no tree cover but better snow than low altitude resorts.
plenty of back country action. Hike off the top of the glacier, stay in refuge overnight, ride La Grave. Get a guide though.
