I expected it to be close between Rachel and Tracey. I was pretty certain the Vali Holl would pull it out of the hat.
I did not expect that in the Mens' Elite!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow more than ever.

Is the best place for results Twitter? Or UCI website?

Two beers in and I'm rather enjoying this race. Top marks to Finn Iles for realising he'd missed out on a medal so showing off for the viewers.

Also, are there any other professional sports where world champs have no problem being honest and using expletives in post-race interviews?

I do like the camera work today, panning out from the carving of each former winner as they ride by. Classy.

Cracking racing, my heart was racing at the end there.

Legoland is such a dull track to watch considering it's chosen for it's TV freindliness.

Good racing in the end though.

Fun to ride though and the bottom is damn steep.
I think it’s a good addition as it tests different skills to some other tracks.

They’re very restricted as to where they can build on the mountain. Around 18 different land owners from top to bottom!

Good race , really chuffed to see the tweed valleys George Gannicott make the final , also tidy runs for fellow scots Greg Williamson and Reece Wilson.Great entertainment and makes you realise how well supported the race in Fort William was last week when you see the crowds, Austria looks beautiful though , may have to visit next year.

Yeah. I know colp.

I don't mind tracks with big dull flat motorways like leogang/Ft william being included in the World cup from time to time. Every year not so much.

If only there were a good DH track just an hour along the road from Leogang. 😉

Just watched it - It's a shame that they miss out on coverage of some pretty critical bits but do manage to show a few hundred yards of that motorway bit

Come on it wasn't so long ago you found out the results in dirt magazine. I think the motorway is okay as it shoes the speed of the riders with the fancy cable camera. Although we do seem to have missed a lot of the offs and the rock section could have been done better as it was so critical.

Would be nice to see a WC in Wales, just take them up in the back of a defender.

the results were generally printed in Dirt 2 months after the event. If you waited for those you were truely out of the loop? Pics in mags were nice though.

it's been televised live since the early 90s
Eurosport in the 90s/00s... then Freecaster for a few years followed by Redbull now.

that fancy motorway cable cam footage was shot by a camera man sat on the back of a motorbike on the fireroad/track beside to the DH track.

I don’t think it’s a cameraman, isn’t it a remote controlled gimballed cam mounted behind the rider?

Agreed about the footage - choice of camera locations meant almost half the run (and well over half the crashes) were missed.

Found it strange that there was clearly a faster way through the motorway but so many missed it. There were at least 2 riders making up 10+ positions by squashing the first table and launching the second booter. Maybe wind was making the motorway run different to practice but unusual so much time would be left on track.

are there any other professional sports where world champs have no problem being honest and using expletives in post-race interviews?

Presumably any non televised / mainstream sport? IOM TT is the only other one I watch and there's some choice interviews there.

No, Geex is right, it’s a KTM Freeride-E with a pillion rider & camera I think

Ah, I saw it in a couple of shots but thought I didn't see a second body on there so I assumed it was like the cameras on the sires that where guided externally. My bad.
