I've just ordered a new xt(M775) front brake with short hose. Can anyone tell me what kit I will need to put a longer hose on? Do I need a full hose kit with all the connectors etc. or can I just buy a length of hose and use the connectors from the old set. I'm guessing I'll need new olives and inserts but do I need them for both ends?

Thanks in advance..!

longer hose, 2 olives and 2 barbs will do it, you can re-use the 2 fittings that go into the lever and caliper. Though that may come in as expensive as a complete replacement hose kit anyway.

Any guidance on how to actually do this? I'm in the same boat.
