For the past 9 months I have had an ache in my left leg. Seems to be an all over ache. First felt it on getting out of bed but would go after a while. Over the last few months has been getting worse so I saw a chiropractor and she ruled out sciatica and said it was probably down to a compressed nerve in my left buttock. She found a point that replicated the pain and said I should try rolling on a tennis ball or foam roller and also to have a sports massage.

So, I tried all that and it is still there. Standing around makes it worse as well as stretching my leg. To get to sleep I have to bend my leg slightly.

But, on the bike I have no pain at all! At Mayhem I can remember walking with my bike through the tents to the road and then as soon as I sat on the saddle the pain stopped!

Now I bought a new bike around 9-10 months ago and it came with a Specialized Phenom saddle. I also bought a singlespeed mtb which I use a lot more and I put another Phenom on it as well. Then my work road bike saddle broke so I got yet another Phenom. So all my bikes now have a Phenom apart from road racing bike which has a Romin.

I have used Toupe and Alias saddles before for years and never had a problem like this! After Mayhem I rode to work twice and leg pain was OK. Last night I rode singlespeed with Phenom and leg was very sore when I got up.

So has anyone else had a similar problem with a saddle? I have an old Alias saddle I am going to try.
