What difference does it make?
Yes, do please enlighten me.
I guess the point they're trying to make is that when using flats you need to unweight the bike with more, uhh, finesse. It's also harder to get the pull-up from the feet, you need to press back with the pedals and get the angle right for it, yadda yadda ya.
Therefore if ya get the knack of jumps with flats you have more developed technique as you can't do it unless you get it "right".
Anyway, don't sweat it.
Ride.
Ignore the naysayers. You didn't die. You had fun. Who cares.
On the other hand, think how much better you'd be if your forks had both legs 🙂
