Excluding the little dots and rectangles you get with the kits, is it normal to have leftover panels left when you have finished covering your frame?
I’ve just done my 1st kit and there is a piece labelled right chain stay which I can’t fit in the obvious place because of the rubber chain stay protector that is on the frame. I could imagine the leftover piece would fit where intended if the protector wasn’t there but I can’t think where else it might go if that isn’t what it’s for.
Any suggestions? Current plan is just to leave it and try not to think about it anymore but I don’t like it when things have random spare bits, makes me think I’ve done something wrong.
Ignore unless you want to remove the rubber cs protector and fit it under that which would be a bit mad.lol
Keep as spares and cut to shape when needed?
If it's a kit that's specific to a particular frame, then it's more than likely been designed for if you don't have a rubber protector.
So either remove the protector and put the invisi frame on and re fit the protector, or just consider it spare incase you need to re cut it and put it to use somewhere else.
I had to remove the rubber chainstay protector when fitting a kit to my Occam, then re-fit it. The Invisiframe kit covers more area than the rubber cover does though.
Well the chainstay protector is pretty well glued in place so I guess I’ll just do my best to forget all about the extra piece.
