....windy..sunny...rainy...hailing.
just missing a bit of snow.
Good fun tho despite the shoes still dripping!
I was there for the first time this morning, pretty rough weather tbh. Looked like it was clearing up then a massive hail storm arrived.
Good spot, I'd go back. Like how you can make it as hard or as easy as you like, more or less. Didn't really get Cragg quarry figured out - think I must have rode half of it backwards, and with the weather I didn't feel like a second circuit. I liked the up-and-downiness of the trail there, no climbs as such but I bet you'd be feeling it if you leathered it round a few times.

Yep, scares the wee out of me too. 😀
Not so much the trail itself, but the fact that if you do come off, it's really, really going to hurt.
Sister in law is a member of the local mountain rescue team - the majority of accidents they attend are people falling off the see saw 😯
we did the carpark to lee (the lower one) up to cragg, aroung cragg, back down to lee, down the black and red and it came out on my mate's strava as 10.5 miles and 1000ish ft of climbing.
...and I got stung by the hail too...
just missing a bit of snow.
Should have been in Perthshire then....
I passed Cragg Quarry today on my CX bike Mary Towneley loop extravaganza... I got that hail too. Twice! It did sting.
Only saw two mountain bikers up there - seven the whole day including one who was out with his dogs. Think the sensible people stayed at home.
