I'm after a 35mm triple optic (to fit into a Hope HID shell). To be used as a helmet lamp. Can anyone suggest anything suitable.

I'm also looking for a suitable triple LED board, but I am now pretty much resigned to building my own- unless you know different. I'm definately limited to using a 14.8v Li-ion battery, so I'm looking for a suitable driver too.

All help appreciated, my head is getting cooked with this project TBH.

Yip, but i think they are selling the XRE triple and quads off for just over £13 with an optic thrown in.

The driver is cheaper bought form either troutie or dstar I think.

I'm considering an order for some XRE triples and Quads ie the LED on a 35mm board with a free optic if you want to I can order yours as well. If I order 5 or more shipping is free.

Ambrose - I've just sent my HID off to troutie for an LED conversion - I'll let you know what he manages to do 🙂

I have bought one on Trouties triple-XPE (spot) Lumi halogen conversions.

It is pretty damn impressive for a first foray into LED lights. . .but now I have the bug.

I would like to do my 2nd Lumi can with tighter spot if possible.

From Cutter website I see that the 20mm Carclo triple that I assume Troutie has used (10507) has a #Full Width Half Maximum figure of 16.4.

If I do a triple myself with 32mm board and a Cute-3-XP 35mm optic the stated #Full Width Half Maximum figure is +/-5 degrees.
Would this give me a tighter spot ??

(Actually I'm getting a bit more confused as the Cutter triple offer is for XRE [not XPE].)

Thanks for flagging up D-star. I would like a bflex without running the risk of additional VAT, import duty and an admin charge.
