Can any one recommend an xc type route at Lechampton with a few easier miles for me to take a friend on? We'll be riding out from central Cheltenham.

You can Start at Lecky by either going up Daisybank road or a nice climb up sandy lane then go across Lecky and over to Birdlip wood and Cranham and onto Painswick Beacon conditions are good.
Yep, or up to the top via Daisybank or Sandy Lane, over the back to the descent past the golf course, over the road and up to the aerial masts, drop down to Coberley, work your way to the Green Dragon for a pint and loop back.
Basically, grab a map and link up the bridleways and teeny lanes, there's loads and there all pretty lovely.
