Hi,
As title. Changing my tyres latet today and wondering what the most efficient way to remove the current (inflated) tubless tyres is?
Cheers for any help...
(I'm prepared to be called a numpty)
Syringe with some plastic tube on to remove the sealant either through the valve with the core removed or by lifting the bead
Get someone else to do it. Wear gloves?
Seriously, got an aversion to washing your hands? Just get on with it!
Deflate it, pop part of the bead off, syringe excess sealant out, take tyre off.
Use a Badger.
Mop up with a baby robin
What's the messy bit? You can even pour the sealant into the new tyre
Syringe is good, aerosol lid as a scoop is even better. Fits nicely inside the tyre and gets almost all of the old sealant out.
I can't help it I'm a princess...thanks for the replies..I'm off to the maternity ward to find a baby Robin....
Pop bead off and soak up with kitchen roll.
I wouldn't reuse the sealant though. I mean, you could, but for the few pennies you'd save I'd just stick some fresh stuff in.
Unless you're one of these serial tyre changers.
