My wife wants to do her direct access and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a nice place where we can have a holiday whilst she does the course at the same time? Quiet roads etc would make learning nicer than city centre etc.....

We live down south but don't mind where it is as it will be a holiday!

I did mine in Keynsham with Kickstart. Good instructor. Easy access to Bristol and Bath with good mtb riding within easy reach. Direct access courses tend to be on main roads as that's where you're expected to ride when you've passed.

Do they still do da in inverness ? Would be my number 1 choice

My dad did his there 20 years ago and still goes back to ride some of them roads regularly

We did the holiday thing as well at the time - nice place plenty to do and good food ( esp seafood)

Based in Worthing, so as well as good roads we have some cracking riding off road too. I can show you both!

Cyprus? Used to be you could take a test there and transfer to a full UK bike Licence.
Test was ride up a quiet road away from the examiner, navigate and empty roundabout and perform and emergency stop on the return journey.

It was a few years ago now so may be different.

Edit, Just read again. Its for the wife so the added benefit of no actual skills or knowledge needed to pass MAY not be appropriate.
