Hello everyone.. I'm currently sitting in the Alps looking outside at the rain, and I'm starting to get a little excited. It's the tour soon.

[img] [/img]

Ran into Froome and Porte a week or so ago, had a little spin with them and wished them luck, they both looked pretty comfortable and confident, despite Froome's crash in the Dauphine. But Contador is so strong at the moment.. And there's lots of others, both old and new, who have something to add to the fight.

But anyway, as it's the Tour, we've already got lots of controversy, see here, here, and here.

It's time to get ready though...

Fantasy leagues, higthepig already beat me to it for the winning league..

http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/stw-tdf-fantasy-league

League Code: 28182017

And the loser league (for those of you who are new to this - you have to spend 100 credits on your team, with the "winner" being the team with the lowest score at the end of the tour)

League Code: 29121638

A recap from last year..

I'm having trouble with the velogames site - anyone else ?
(can't see full lists, my "second" team is hidden but I think it has just overwritten mt selection from my first team)

Hope it goes well for Sky again, saw Ritchie before he headed back to Europe and he was keen to be back. He'd just finished riding round tasmania (in a day)

I believe you have to make two accounts to have two teams - that's what I've done anyway.

Breathes huge sigh of relief you are doing these again
Those threads are the STW high point IMHO

Ran into Froome and Porte a week or so ago

Were you staring at your slammed stem whilst they were staring at theirs

Can we just post it here our selections? CBA'd with redg' on another site, anyway there aren't any others 😆

Team order FTW:
Movistar - Valvpiti
Saxo
Sky
OPQS
.....

Expecting the Mov boys to be all over both Sky and Saxo with Sky and Saxo too busy fighting it out between themselves to notice the rest of the teams involved. 😆

Winner, well I'll stick my short fat neck out and say Valvpiti. 😛

Nope. Feel bad for him, final ever tour and gets a cough and loses form right before the start.

I was selected for TdF last week, then they pulled me last night. Wiggo, Dowsett, Pete, Swifty, fancy a city break? I hear York's nice.

I thought Millar had quite a big financial stake in the G-S team - surprising that he has so little say, if so 😕

each daily thread contains spoilers, thats just the way it is.
if you want to watch the highlights avoid it.

that said last year i avoided, STW, general news media sites...... only to get told the days result on radio 1 in the car on the way home.

Odd one that, took long enough for it to be analysed, (Feb -> Jul), although good it wasn't released before both the A and B samples were tested.

Pity, seemed a nice guy.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/tour-de-france-pro-bike-mark-cavendishs-s-works-venge

After previously riding a 52cm frame, Cav switched to a size 49cm frame and is now using a 140mm stem to get low and long.

He could still go lower though..
