Just nipped to Leisure Lakes and it was rammed with bikes. Not seen more than a handful of bikes at any bike shop for so long. Was great to see. More signs of things getting back to ‘normal’…. until WW3 starts compliments of Mr Putin!!

Was it rammed with lots of brands, or just a couple? Stock will be bouncy for a while so it will be feast and famine. I was on the phone with a supplier a few days ago who said they're selling so many brakes (OE) as there's a major shortage in the main suppliers to a number of brands for 2023. I see that myself in the lead times but you never know whether thats because a few brands have ordered a zillion of something or if everyone is getting less than they want, but something none the less.

Expect big sales in bikes late 2022. Its going to be chokka full of unsold stuff. Still won't be able to buy a cassette though.

I've had two opposing expericences. Popped my head into Evans on Sunday morning. Not one full sus bike. Only a couple of E-Bikes. The rest were low end hardtails and a load of road bikes. Then I was in North West Cycles and they had more than I expected. But almost nothing in my size for the spec I wanted. Going to be a struggle, buying this new bike.

@benpinnick I remember seeing lots of Trek, Specialized and Whyte. Tons of each. Actually don’t think there was another brand there. The shop was absolutely rammed though.

Edit: There were some Cube bikes too.

@stcolin Loads of full sus. Only saw a few electric. Looked like they had a good range on display from £500 hardtails to £5k full sus.

Incidentally, the kids bike section was rammed too.

@dyna-ti Depends who/what you believe. Personally, I think they get together over a few drinks and decide who should go to war with who next because having no war doesn’t help the rich to get richer. “I know, why don’t you invade the Ukraine, Vlad, and we’ll all get involved. Give us an excuse to spend billions on another war”.

I'm getting ready to buy a trail bike this year I think. Hopefully by summer it'll be getting easier.
