Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much I should expect to pay at a LBS to change my existing SRAM X7 thumb shifter for an X0 gripshifter (Labour only as I've already got parts). Only on the left hand/front derailleur.

Thanks..

However much they charge for a cable change plus a little bit more.

Both front and rear shifters you mean I guess?
If so then I would say between £20 and £35, probably higher rather than lower as the shop won't be making any money on the parts, you may need new cables as well.

If you came into my shop I'd charge you £6 plus the cost of whatever grip you wanted.

Unless it's an edit, have you read the OP!?

I'd say £10 would be fair.

Few glasses of wine and I'm anyone's.......
Ah then let me revise to £10 seems good.
Albino, just for my sake of mind, did you edit or did I misread?

Whatever their base level of labour is - 1/2 hour?

I mean, it must require a skilled, experienced person - otherwise you'd have done it yourself...

If you'd taken your car into a garage, somewhere between £25 and £50 for the same 'operation'.

Hi - Nope. I only edited original to change m mistake from X9 to X7 existing shifter.
It's only left shifter that needs changing as I've got some problems with my left thumb which means I can't use regular shifters.
Seems quite a range of prices so far. I'm happy to pay what the going rate is, even a little more as they wouldn't be making anything off parts. Just don't want to get stung.
