Or more to the point, have they got over the 55 'issues' of yesteryear?

you appear to have arrived back about 6 year later than you thought. Marz cured those problems from about 2011 onwards. Latest versions of the 55's are the nuts.

That's what I wanted to read.
Yeah, my 55s were from around 2010 if memory serves. I only ask because their forks haven't appeared too prolific since that time, or certainly eclipsed by others in the media and as OEM spec.
