You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Finlay got to try the village's new pump track this evening (figured after dark would be the only time it was empty enough for me not to totally embarrass myself).
Glentress in the sunshine
Not me but Jnr out with his new bike yesterday:

Bluebird skies in the Peak District with a cracking loop from Edale.
Turns out Jacobs ladder is even harder to climb when it's covered in ice.
Some of the descents were crazy with the amount of ice covering the trails. 😳
Amazing day.

2 hours on the SS on local trails on Friday ... primo autumn conditions ...
Popped up to my parents Saturday, no time for a proper ride, but rude not to at least take in a few gravel detours ...
Short break on the Imber Range Path

Wee local loop yesterday, was good to be out even though I was in the minus-es when I got back

Prior to defrosting after Friday night bivi.
Bizarrely dry around Shropshire, stunning time of year! Managed to tick off a scary feature I’ve been looking at for a few years too 🙂

In the cafe having an almost home bacon reg vanie (double bacon, Yumsk) after a cart around the cold tops of Rossendale.

@rocketdog that looks like exactly my sort of caper! Off to find some mud of my own shortly, may have been thwarted by frosty conditions. Shall report back

300km audax for me this weekend Bristol - Poole - Bristol (Moonrakers & Sunseekers 300).
Fantastic route and ride starting from 10pm in Bristol on Friday and finishing by 6pm back in Bristol on Saturday. Was the coldest I've ever been on the bike!
This shot is from Poole harbour. The sunrise and warmth was a very welcome start to the day!
No frost or mud, and biking on company $ is always a bonus.

Having failed to get out for a ride yesterday in that glorious sunshine, i did get out today though and was rewarded with a brief glimpse of the valley through a break in the mist
Christmas decorations are up at Drumlanrig Castle

Right faffy start to the ride today. Just before heading off refitted the rear wheel that I put a new tyre on yesterday. New tyre different profile to the old in spite of same sizing. Fouled on the rear mudguard. Removed that and started to fit a new, differently mounted one. Cold fingers turned a five minute job into a 20 minute one. Finally got out for a curtailed ride - not as muddy as I expected so everything good in the end.
To be fair colournoise, that's a spectacularly ugly mudguard. I'd have saved some time and dignity and got a muddy arse 😉
Haha! I don't mind the way it looks TBH (deffo better than the Mudhugger I had on there last year). The angle needs a bit of a tweak admittedly but I'd had enough just getting it fitted so left it as was for today.
Losing an argument with the narrow bridleway down to Capel y Ffin.

Me and the little one did a little loop out the back of Chipping today. 4 degrees when we parked up. 7 miles and she didn't mention being cold once!! But the hot chocolate in the cafe at the end went down well 😜

Afternoon pedal with the 'yoof' - my son and his two friends at QE park yesterday. Boring shot of trail and low sun.
Great work by the trail collective last few weekends, which I've massively failed to find the time to help with around family stuff and work. Sorry and thanks those who have.
Hot but relatively low fire risk. Went for a walk…

I was out on a local loop around the back of Bonnybridge on Saturday. The temperature didn't get above -3c for the whole day. I've been colder, but my bones were younger then!
Didn't manage to go out on Saturday because of family commitments. Did get out on Sunday afternoon, not sunny but at leas dry. Did the standard Eastern Moors loop and saw some deer who seemed really interested in me and didn't bolt on first sight.
