A mate and I decided on a wee repeat of a loop up on the summits of Goatfell and North Goatfell on Arran. The Stacach ridge and buttresses are pretty atmospheric, but the in and out clouds prevented us from getting a full vista. Top day in the hills though, only slightly tempered by the usual Schwalbe affliction, puncures. Also featured wrong sized tubes, compeed, and hitch hiking... 😆

Nice, I remember that ridge from walking it many years ago.
I recall it being pretty scrambly in places, but it rides OK does it?
Aye and No, it's not quite as good a descent as Goatfell IMO, lots of carrying too, but it's a nice loop and I always prefer that to a straight up and down.
And some days it's just good to be out in the hills.
Looks like a cracking ride that, I'll have to do it one time. I saw your photos of Goatfell earlier in the year and it just looks great.
Probably my last hike-a-bike at the weekend too, up on Ben Lawers. Weather was a bit bleak but the ride was as good as ever.

I'm planning on doing some walking on Arran over winter, partly cos I love a ridge, and it's just over the water from me, and partly to scope out some more potential biking.
Glen Rosa horseshoe and also the full ridge from Beinn Nuis north to Sail an im and North Glen sannox may have potential...
