Nice easy 100k from Edlesborough near Hemel Hempstead this Sunday. 9am start and the routes waymarked.

My lot are kicking back on this one.

Wrong!
Poured down pedal deep flooding on some roads, swallowed pints of rain/diesel/mud water yum yum. Took us 3.15 to get round. How did your day go?

We went (from the Chilterns) to the North Downs and had a cracking ride, only rained as we packed to leave 😆

But boy, had some water fallen on the roads on the way home.

You got it before us then. 53 miles with the rain only catching us as we neared Richmond Gate in the park. It was a bit tedious being swamped on the way back in by the Kingston who hurtled through us at least 3 times before turning corners and stopping - and not one single one of them acknowledged us - are they the new incarnation of the once infamous Dynamo boys?
Refueled, clothing washed and us too. Bikes to be cleaned tomorrow.

Have you retired or something?

My poor old CX bike is in hospital, it's had a real pasting this winter. New wheels and groupset required.

Nope. Week off for both of us. I've finally worked out why the headset on my Arsenic was so difficult to adjust as the preload washer was missing - sorted now - will be giving it a walloping on Tuesday just to make sure.
