Hi! How large tyre can the 2018 Orange P7 S fit? I can find no information on this on the entire internets.

The 2019 version of this bike comes with WTB Vigilante 2.6" and Trail Boss 2.6". Geo is the same between 2018 and 2019 model, which leads me to believe it's the same frame, but what do I know.

Thanks!

OK, 2018 and 2019 frame is the same. Orange themselves state 2.6" official maximum tyre size. What is the largest tyre you've been able to fit without rub?

2.6 would be the largest. They've probably tested larger, but likely found it could cause rub on the frame during any wheel flex while cornering.

I've got some 2.5 Maxis WT tyres on. There appears to be plenty of space left, both in the seat-stays and chain-stays. I would expect a 2.8 to fit, and a 3.0 at a push. However, I would not want to go any bigger than 2.5/2.6 on the stock 30mm internal rims that came on mine.

Fork wise, if you have the boost Revelations then 2.8s fit, and depending on the tyre brand, some 3.0 will also do.

Thanks, very helpful! If someone has found a 2.8" tyre that fits without rub in the rear — feel free to chime in. 🙂
