Ive been offered a swap for my Trance on a Large Codeine but having quickly done some googling its saying the reach isnt that good on them?

Is a large Codeine likely to be to small for me at 6 foot and a bit?

Which Trance do you have? How does is it not fit you at the moment? I'm 183cm and I would definitely be on a large with probably a 45mm stem.

Ah come on, you lot are saying my bike is to small for me and saying I need a 29er, so Im looking at options and yet you still give me grief.

I thought this forum was to help or give advice to people.

🙁

I ride a large, I am a few inches taller than you and have fairly long arms. With a 50mm stem mine is fine.

I'm on a stock spec large, 5'11" here, if you're around Edinburgh you can try mine, but depending how you like a bike it'll be a bit short in the reach for you, you can always put something longer than the 35mm stem it comes with on

The reach is 427mm. Your Giant is 439mm.

I may be wrong here but I'm not convinced a codeine would make a great commuter!

Yes.

Based on having ridden Frood's large frame above and been a mite taller than you.

Jmatlock you really do come across as a knob.

I was asking a question.

Thanks for the help br I will give it a swerve then.

This place is filling up with some right keyboard warrior knobs now isn't it.

I can't fathom why you need so much advice in your life.

You ask others to make your decisions for you, then disagree when they give you decent solid advice.

How do you manage in day to day life?

Will this bike that's smaller than my current bike be a better fit for me than my already too small bike?

Please can you change the topic title?
