Ok, this has got me flummoxed. I recently treated my lapierre spicy to a set of those xt disc brakes that rose bikes were doing for peanuts. I also bought 2 icetech 180mm rotors, and a rear specific is to pm adapter.

The problem is that the rotors seem to foul the roof of the caliper - almost as if the rotor is a few mm too big or the adapter is a few mm too short. I've stuck some washers in between the caliper and the adapter, which has fixed it, but would like to understand the root cause. Actually, I seem to remember that there were 2 different 180mm adapters being available, with very slightly different part numbers.

Any one got any ideas?

I'm running the same setup as you on the same bike, but non Icetec rotors because they're not worth it unless you're riding big mountain stuff all the time. I've had no problems at all.

Are they actually 183mm rotors?

I have a 183 hope on the front of my bike and have used a couple of very small spacers to sort the issue.

I double checked and they definitely say 180mm on them. It's a shimano adapter too, so I can't work out why it isn't a perfect fit...
