I'm about 6'5" with an inside leg that's about 36-37" (I think) and I'm after a pair of windproof tights (for road use). I ordered these Northwave ones in XXL - nice tights but they're about 3-4" short of my ankles. Doesn't help, of course, that windproof fabric isn't terribly stretchy. Any beanpoles out there have any recommendations? Ta.

I'm the same height as you and for winter mtb rides I got some leg warmers instead of tights as I can wear them slightly lower than they should be (they still overlap my shorts enough to stay up and cover all of my leg), but they reach all the way down to my ankle!!

I've got some Endura thermal bib tights which keep the wind out quite nicely and they're pretty long (Im 6'5" and leg length 35-36"). I have to be careful otherwise they get a bit norah batty, so I would recommend them for the longer legs.

Yeah, normal thermal/Roubaix stuff I don't have a problem with. The windproof stuff, being less stretchy, is a different bag of beans.

Rose Bikes have a huge range of clothing for all different sizes.

except Rose think that someone my height will have a 40" waist.

40"?!? - there aren't that enough chips in Yorkshire for me to get that fat.

(actually, it seems everyone seems to equate 'size' with 'fatness' rather than height)

Yeah, by most sizing charts I tend to be M for waist, L for chest, XL-XXL for arms and XXL-XXXXL for legs. It's a good job lycra stretches 🙂

I have a 36" inside leg, 33" waist and use endura leggings

Not sure on the size, but they fit well - certainly not baggy in any way 🙂

I'm a few inches shorter at 6'3 and I'm using these with a 34" inside leg in size Large, so the legs do have some stretch in them. Very snug, although I only need to use them when it's down to about 3 degrees in the morning over here in Oz. They do keep the knees very toasty.

Don't touch anything made in Italy - they size up for malnourished dwarf road rats. Endura the best I've had, or layer up with some leg warmers under something else.

I tried on some Polaris tornado winter bibs and the XL was good for me at 6'4" and 83kg.

Or Portugal. I always smile when our club kit arrives (from Carvalho Custom in Portugal) and the size labels in the jersey have a GB size and Portugal size. the GB one is a size smaller than the Portuguese one.
