Hello heading up to the lakes for a weekend at the end of April . Looking for route suggestions close to Windermere.ideally a loop that could start from there or close by.can drive to start point if required,don't mind a bit of hike a bike when required. Also thinking of grizedale for a night ride on the 1st evening to break us in.is it well signposted or would it be easy to get lost?..is it worth doing?..cheers..
If you head towards Ambleside you could ride up to Town End and down Jenkin Crag, then if you still wanted more cycle through Ambleside and ride around Loughrigg Fell.
Alternatively pop down to Staveley and ride one of the routes round there. Wheelbase have maps to buy of a few different routes around Garburn, Kentmere etc.
Any of them on here will do you. Have fun, the weather looks great, for a change 8)
