You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My knowledge of hills in the Lake District extends to a walk up Blencathra and a camping trip near Coniston, I have no idea of any decent riding routes. I'm after some suggestions on routes/must ride areas for a day ride with a group of mates, planning on heading up sometime in November for the day (weather dependent). A few parameters:
Group of half a dozen-ish, all happy on pretty much anything (technical level wise) and with a decent level of fitness.
All riding 150/160mm full sus.
Will be driving over from Leeds so something closer to that side.
After a 'big day out'.
Something that's going to fit within the shorter daylight hours of Nov.
Any suggestions of where to start looking would be great!
Do a quick forum search. There's a stack of threads on Lake District routes.
The joe cocker descent off Wetherlam, Helvellyn helmet route and then Skiddaw Skoda singletrack
Eastern side ..not exactly the Lakes ..but a big day out anyway ..
The Calf / Bowderdale route in The Howgills starting in Sedbergh.
What THM says, but also add in shatners bassoon at the end.
Corking day that.
