How’s the midges ? Is camping under a tarp sensible?

I've never experienced midges in the lakes like the Scottish ones. As for a tarp, it can be quite wet at times in the Lakes even in the summer. Worth checking forecasts. Depends if you can relax under one in the wet.

Was out last night got a bit midgie around Blea Tarn not horrific though!

Was out at Angle Tarn on Thursday- no midgies. Camp high and pray for a gentle breeze!
