I followed all the advice and bought these boots in 2 sizes up from my usual size. But they are still tight! Granted I do wear super thick socks but still.
What I'm wondering is how much they loosen up from new. I'm reluctant to go for the next size up as they are actually a good fit but don't seem to have much 'wiggle room' at the moment at least but am wondering if that will come in time.
Anybody got any experience of them?
Mine don't seem to have stretched at all in a winters use.
Mine are only one size up
Counter intuitive but a thinner socks is usually warmer in my experience [ make sure it comes up over the boot mind] like say a Wollie Boolie compared to a Sealskin as it warms the air inside the boot I assume. I am not probe to cold feet cycling though so perhaps just me?
Given mine are 5 years old I dont think they stretch very much as the front toe bit is till pretty much solid
Is it not just the way the BOA tightens? They are tighter in that sense than my other cycling shoes though not actually tight as in rubbing as it is a very secure way to secure a shoe compared to velcro or three straps
Looking at mine only the neoprene seems to have obviously stretched - ie i have to pull the tab round a bit more
Sorry not that much use despite all the info given but if i had to guess it would be that it wont stretch very much like a normal shoe would - remember you are not walking that much in them so unlikely to flex very much to stretch
Thanks guys. Think I'll go for the 41s, seems ridiculous as I'm usually a size 38 but hey ho.
I'd tried the thinner socks thing but didn't work for me. But then I'm not sure anything will as I'm a typical girl and have feet that are like blocks of ice! Got to keep trying though so the 41s it is.
Thanks again.
