You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi guys I'm a southener moved to Liverpool and I keep driving through this area for work. I'm guessing it's good for riding mtb ? Any areas to concentrate on? Thanks.
You can start in the Ladybower area and find your way up a tricky climb (Cutthroat ridge?) To Whinstone Lee Tor. Then after taking in the amazing view, you have a choice of descents; to the left is longer and less technical but flowy, fast and fun. To the right is more technical and steep and a right blast.
Not a very good description, but hopefully helpful.
You could also make your way up to Hope Cross (up the Beast, ride that if you can!!) Then right at Hope Cross and down Potato Alley. Rocky and fun.
V-publishing dark peak trails guide book will tell you all need to know.
+1 for the Vertebrate guidebook - https://www.v-publishing.co.uk/books/categories/mountain-biking/peak-district-mountain-biking.html Ladybower's pretty much the epicentre of some of the best mountain biking in the north of England. It's pretty much all good, take your pick.

Deffo get the Vertebrate book. Ride a few, the cobble some of your own together. It is cracking riding and you’ll love it. On sunny weekends some bits are busy with walkers, but be polite, stop for a chat and you’ll be grand 99% of the time. Anyone else is just being an arsehole and you get those everywhere!
Thanks guys I'm glad I asked now! Sounds excellent. 👍😁
And book bought. Can't wait to try my non existent map skills out now.
