Great racing today but what a mistake by Froome to try out psyche Berty and let the others back up to him. Maybe he hasn't got the temperament to win a grand tour.
a long as he doesnt make the same mistake. Better tactical naivety than lack of strength, and at least he was trying to take the race on.
Contador made a similar error in dropping to noodle gear and getting passed like he was standing still 50 metres from the line.
Froome is ice cool and reckon he has the right temperament. He did brilliantly in Le Tour.
Those switchbacks looked bloomin' hard, let alone being on a steep hill. 18 of them I believe? 😯
It's been a great race to watch so far. The only crap bit is the way ITV cuts to an ad break right as something exciting is happening.
Suppose they can't help tht but it does spoil the excitement.
