You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I noticed my rear spindle had snapped when I removed the wheel to change the tyre, bummer. Looked out the purchase receipt for my 160 RS and it was 2 weeks past the one year warranty, double bummer. I took it up to Tiso in Perth, expecting a "discussion", nothing of the sort, no problem sir, we'll get in touch with Whyte. Whyte supplied a new spindle and XD freehub body, Tiso fitted it, no charge and all done in a few days. Now, some people may think that should be how it works and I agree, but quite often it doesn't work like that. So chapeau to both Whyte and Tiso for making this failure a complete non-event.
I do like a good news story, instead of some of the negative bashing.
Thanks for posting.
1 year warranty?
ATB Sales Ltd warrants with the purchaser of a new Whyte bike that the frame will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. The duration of the limited frame warranty can be extended to four years by registering your purchase online here
Yes, me too. It now means I can stumble down stuff with a bunch of folk who are far better than me, rather than being in my comfort zone on my own. Result.
I've always had good service from Tiso when dealing with returns/faulty goods. Never had any arguments, just quick offers of refund or replacement.
Not sure you would call the freehub body and spindle, part of the frame, but I take your point. I'm just happy with a good level of service.
They are good guys in the Perth Tiso.
Great service for my bike and snow sports habits.
Hoping for similar from the Aviemore branch (my second home) if/when it finally opens.
Good to hear.
I’ve also had a number of good experiences in that store. That seem to have an excellent customer service culture
