A marriage made in heaven. Easy to mount, inflated without sealant or soapy water with a pump, ride beautifully.

The Open Pros were just too much trouble. Couldnt make them seal, despite all the tricks. But the Ksyriums with no spoke holes in the rim bed, really are a perfect combination with the Ones. And i dont need tyre levers to remove them either, should the worst happen.

What valve did you use?

Although the kyseriums don't have spoke holes they're not tubeless specific are they they?

I'm guessing the open pros have much boxier cross section,

I've not tried road specific tubeless rims but would be interested to know whether they're significantly easier to inflate,

I. Don,t think you are supposed to run ksyriums tubeless . You are running the risk of them coming off the rim . For me you are risking potential serious injury for a negligible performance benefits .

I used the long red Superstar valves with conical rubber bungs. I bought the valves and tyres for my 45 mm Giant p-SLR aero mid profile carbon faired wheels. Whilst they were OK, indeed trouble free, the valves were not long enough really and I had to remove the locking rim to pump them up each time, and the wider rims made the 25c tyres more like 28's!

So I went back to 23c with latex tubes on the Giant and thought I'd better mount the new Tubeless 25c's on something. So tried the Ksyriums. These are a 19 mm rim, so the 25c tyres are a good match and the same width as the 23c Ones on my Giant wheels.

I was amazed how easy it was compared with my past efforts on Stans Crests. And the Giant wheels are tubeless specific and were far more effort than the Ksyriums. That says to me that the tube and rim must be a good fit.

EDIT: And they haven't blown off the rim at considerable over pressures of 140 PSI, so I'm really not concerned. Mavic would say you shouldn't, of course. I'll let you know if I die, but I've over 300 km without issue so far.
