Can anyone clarify how you put on of these newfangled seatposts with the cable coming out the bottom of the shaft?

Would the cable come out a bottle boss?

My head hurts. Trying to figure this out.

Do you have a stealth compatible frame?
If not you may need a drill

I don't think you can get any stealth post in that size.

You will either need to exchange for one that is not stealth or pick a spot to drill a hole (bottle boss may work) SC do them at the base of the seat tube before the BB then route up the frame from there.

The euro bike pics show a KS Lev 27.2 stealth. Happier if I don't have to make holes in my shiny paint.

From what your saying you have a stealth? Or do you mean the eurobike pics show one with a cable that doesn't exit inside the frame. Where did you get the post from?

Sorry, I missed that.

If you go through a boss, I can't imagine the routing would be very nice.

Ideally, for the cable run, you will need to cut a slot not just drill a hole, and you need to be concerned about weakening the frame, not just the paintwork.

Given the static attachment on the standard lev I can't see any advantage in trying to bodge a frame without the right holes to fit an internally cabled one?
