Hi chaps,
After thinking I had creaky saddle rails, it turns out it's the post.
Has anyone come across a creaking ks Lev? Could it be dirt in the bushings?
Cheers
Ricks
I've not had creaking from mine but they're super easy to overhaul
Worth doing anyway
Mine was making some scraping noises and after a quick service it's mint!!
Here's the service video
Good luck
Tends to be the rail clamp assembly. Strip, clean and grease it all and it should go quiet.
Rail clamps bend ever so slightly over time which results in creaking. New clamp set up sorted mine.
I have serviced mine and then i greased every surface of the seat clamp and seat rails and this has stopped mine creaking.
Hopefully this lasts
I must have over tightened my seat rail clamps as it bent the plate and I ended up with a creaking saddle for nearly a year, not that I knew what was wrong with it.
I eventually found THIS which led me to replacing the top plate with one from a donor post and then making sure everything was torqued up correctly, and so far (fingers crossed) it's lovely and quiet.
This may not be your problem, but It's good to be aware of using correct torque settings.
It's not the rails, I've stripped and greased them already. And can feel the clicking neat the wiper seal.
I'll see about giving it an overhaul.
