Hi guys,
Currently helping a friend fit a new KS dropper to his bike, we have followed the instructions and cut the cable to the correct length etc. The mechanism on the bottom is freely moving when we press the lever but the post will not compress even with us say on it and the lever fully in its completely rigid.
Any tips on how to sort this out?
Thanks
Cable tension?
Is it tight enough to actually engage the mechanism
We basically followed the instructions so used the guide to cut the cable to length and then fit in to the mechanism. When pressed in it 'opens' the actuator fully so I guess it should be OK?
I might try moving the little grommet a bit further down to see if I can open it up a bit more when pressed in?
We often have brand new KS posts that do this, usually just requires a hefty shove from our 18-stoner to get it moving for the first time (my 10 stone won't shift it), not generally any problems afterwards.
