Worth a read if you like wide open spaces. She's tough as nails, that sort of ride is not trivial.

Made me a bit homesick, I miss that sort of country. 🙂
Thanks love it. Definitely hardcore. Dry sense of humour too. Also take note no fancy pants bike but the biggest adventure.
Fantastic photography. I shall look at the rest of her blog too.
Link doesn’t work
Crazy lady, fair play to her. That's a proper adventure. I had to laugh at the sheer weight of gear she's carrying, puts all of us whinging about grams to shame.
That and "the next bicycle shop was 1,800km" - you damn well better be self sufficient.
That was a great read, incredible pics. That is a bloody dangerous ride but would love to do it.
Awesome. She is a bit nuts, especially with all the things in Aus that want to kill you.
I would be seriously worried about running out of water out there, especially if you get lost or a mechanical and end up out there longer than expected.
My god that picture of the tent under the night sky is incredible.
Top find. Many thanks.
Link not working for me either?
Been following her progress for a few years now on her youtube channel - been some adventure she has been on!
Linky not worky
If you are getting a DNS error try a refresh. I think it may be a timeout or something.
Link wasn't working for me either. I've changed the DNS service my PC uses to resolve domain names to AdGuard after looking at this wikipedia page. Did have it setup to use my router previously.
once worked with a very unassuming chap who mentioned he'd done some cycling in Aus.
Turned out he'd cycled solo from Darwin to Melbourne, right through the centre.
Not sure I'd be brave enough to take the risk, but the night skies look pretty spectacular.
Quality. I love the basic English as well, distils it right down to her base experiences.
"I heard there was a water station which was on a cargo container but I couldn’t find it. I went to a bar near and asked. But she said she didn’t know where it was and said I could buy water instead. I just went out and tried to look for it again. It was a bit inside of the road. Maybe it was her first day working that she didn’t know anything about outback like the mechanic in Melrose’s bicycle shop."
It's just impossible to tell whether she's ignorant of the situation here, or just lacking some of the subtlety to demonstrate sarcasm. Either way, utterly charming.
I took that as a cutting joke.
