I recently got this Kona Ti Explosif built up. It is a lovely bike to ride, light, fast and very capable. It's a 17" frame built up with Pike 120-150mm forks, 2 x 10 XT kit, reverb seat post, light bike 650B wide hookless rims and wide-ish bars (720mm). Some photos and taken with the camera on the ph, so apologies

Looks nice! 🙂

Not sure 'bout the tweener wheels, though. 😕

I say, that looks rather nice old chap.

You need to tidy the leaves and push the fork travel measure roofer down for the pics in future. We have standards.

Lovely! Always been a big Kona Ti fan since I built up a Hei Hei frame back in '98.

Don't forget to level the cranks horizontal. 🙂

In all seriousness thats one nice bike you got there. Is it the frame with glow in the dark stickers?

@craig86 I don't think the stickers glow in the dark, but they are nicely sublimated in a covert kind of way. I was a bit sceptical about the 27.5 wheels, having always ridden 26" wheels, but have been surprised with these. They roll very well and no real issue with tight corners and switchbacks.

Nice to be back on a HT and a kona again

Very nice. Almost bought one but the frame alone was pretty expensive. Saw a equally nice Reba build knocking around at 22lb on a US site.

I was a sceptical about the 650B, but there does seem to be something to it and as another poster said, it ticks all the boxes
