Anyone help with the correct mech hanger for this bike, bike shop giving me wheels manufacturing hanger 61 but that's listed for the 2013 process and doesn't look right to me. I don't have my bike yet and want to have a spare ready for when I get it.
Good thing to do, but tbh I learnt to order the bike and hanger together, from the same shop...
No spare with the frame?
Not got the bike yet and I don't think it'll come with a spare, I asked shop to add one to order but they came up with the hanger 61 which I'm pretty sure is wrong looking at where the bolts go.
Give BETD a call. If they don't have one I'm sure they can make one.
no- mine didnt come with one though the hanger had snapped in transit so had to wait while kona sent a new one
if you email the kona tech info they are very helpful tech@konaworld.com
BETD tell me they are making some to be available in a week or so
BETD have them available, not listed on site yet but I got mine in today
Does the BETD part have a code?
I have a 134DL and am assuming it'll be the same.
No code, I'd give them a call. I notice the 153 one still isn't listed on the site.
Bache Brothers Cycles have them. 01384 891174.
can get them here now too http://gearmechhanger.com/D452-CNC-gear-mech-hanger-/-derailleur-hanger-/-KONA
Thanks very much for the info hoppaddict, just ordered a spare for my 134.
Stumbled on this thread whilst looking for a spare hanger for Mrs supersaiyan's Kona Precept DL. A quick call to a very knowledgeable chap at Bache Brothers Cycles confirmed that the Process mech hanger is the same as the Precept DL (but not the Precept - different rear ends).
I feel that Bache Bros need a favourable mention here on two counts:
1) service - knowing their sh1t and posting a new mech hanger that arrived the very next day.
2) They seem to be the only bike shop in the whole of the internets to have the forethought to sell spares for the bikes they actually sell.
lots of bike shops have mech hangers for bikes they sell
we have loads for kona
they are made of cheese thought, BETD mentioned making stainless ones at some point.
all our process and operators arrived from kona with broken hangers
apparently kona have a thicker hanger on the way when i got my bike the hanger was bust too
Im planning to chase one tomorrow at the shop i bought the bike (AW cycles in reading got one for me no probs)
ive bent the original one and snapped a BETD one(this tears megavalanche was a tougie!!) , ive still got 1 spare i got from my lbs fortunately and ive straightened the bent one as a get me home
