Been thinking of upgrading the current kona p2 fork for some time, but can't decide what to go for. Looking at the planet x uncle john or the kinesis cx. Anything else out there that I've missed?
Will a carbon bar be less harsh over rutted terrain?
Are there any better steel forks than the p2, salsa maybe?
The bike isn't used for racing, but is used off road and muddy lanes.
Any experiences/ info appreciated.
what is it you want ? more complience ?
a chromoto fork might offer that in its unicrown with a rake rather than straight blade.
Personally i liked the direct feedback i got from the p2 on my jake meant the wheel always did what i wanted it to. - ive just gone back to a p2 triple butted on my ti race bike over carbon forks
getting out of ruts with the carbon fork always felt sketchy.
I replaced my P2's with a new disc mount version of a P2! it is pretty much the best rigid fork I've ridden on for CX.
