Trying to find a way of doing the Disley Loop as an evening ride tomorrow, but starting from south of knutsford (then getting the train home afterwards). Looks like a thirty km add on, which is bordering on ok, but i'd like to find a better way to cut the corner from the middlewood way to Disley. Which I guess means through Lyme Park.... But can't see any bridleways. Anyone recommend a good route through that way.

Alternative I seem to recall Marple Riders go out on Thursdays. Is that true? You put tomorrow guys n gals? Got room for another?

Thanks

Where abouts on the Middlewood and what time are you going to be popping out as there couple of options into Lyme Park, but the Park officially closes at 6pm

I'd normally go into Lyme park from West park gate, then out if the East gate then cheeky ride the last bit of the Gritstone trail into Disley it's a FP but most of it is farm track.

Stainypants - Rocking up at West Park Gate and finding it padlocked (Park closes at 6pm) can present a bit of an issue getting over the 6ft gate. Not bad if there are two of you (apparently). Getting into/out of the Park can involve navigating large stiles or locked gates depending which way/time you go.

Gritstone into Disley is easiest and best option into Disley

We used to go out Thusdays but now we're too lazy. From Knutsford I'd head to Bollington / Pott Shrigley then up the Gritstone Way and up the east side of Lyme Park, as per Carlos
